FALL 2019

We are once again busy with Christmas Cheer. In the past few weeks there hasbeen a remarkable response from individuals wanting to help those in need.

We have been doing our volunteer work for over thirty years so why does this year seem so different. Let me explain….today's news is full of bombing, shooting, fighting, etc. from people all over the world including the United States. It doesn't matter what color, religion or nationality you are.

Our volunteers that want to help others in need are ecumenical consisting of Christians, Jews, Mormons and many religions that I have never heard of. They are people working together in love and harmony to make a difference. They don't get their names in the newspapers or on TV. They have a heart full of love and spread it to others. They are an inspiration to all of us that goodness still prevails.

We never realized that we would be filling two needs….those that need help and those that want to help. As a result of this we are growing and expanding in a new venue with a Westside Church Deacon to attempt to feed the homeless in this area especially the children (some homeless) of these families. Along with delivering food on Christmas directly to the homes of those in need, we will be feeding the homeless on the street during each month.

In today's world of confusion, we are reminded that we exist on the planet to help others in our little corner of the world. Bless you for everything you have done for us in our little corner of the world.

Please donate your time or make a donation on our website at www.christmascheer.com

DECEMBER 2018

Christmas Cheer Foundation serves two needs...those who receive meals and those who volunteer.

I want to share something that happened this week which moved me to tears because it was so beautiful.

Volunteers came to St. Cyprians Catholic Church to wrap the books that children will receive with their meal.

A group of female Mormon Missionairies came and they sat with a gentlemen who was Jewish.  As they wrapped books together, I heard them visit and laugh together.

When he left, he sent me an email telling me how wonderful it was to share the afternoon helping others with these lovely Mormon women.

Last night, it came to me that Mormons girls joined with a Jewish gentlemen to help others in a Catholic Church.... and I knew the good Lord was winking at me...job well done.

WINTER 2018

Hope lives in helping the needy!

I don't know how to adequately say thank to all the donators and volunteers

that helped make Chistmas Cheer a success this year.

I want to share something with you that will give you a little insight as to why we do this.

Both my sons took separate delivery routes this year and they both came back with the following stories.

My son Fred said that when he was delivering to a family, a small boy jumped up and down and said..."we have food"…..and my son John said that as he was leaving a family, a little boy came by the doorway and said "thank you".

When we sat down for our Christmas dinner...we were grateful …just as I am grateful for all of you.

Blessings,

Christmas Cheer/Abundant Outreach Staff

FALL 2016

Hunger does not happen on just one day.  It happens every day
Hunger does not discriminate with race....with religion....with nationality
Hunger does not only happen on Christmas morning.  It happens 7 days week, every day of the year.
Today, we would not be able to spread Christmas Cheer  and Abundant Outreach  without the many hours of planning and fundraising that would not be possible without the kindness and generosity of volunteers like yourself.
The holiday season is rapidly approaching and to continue our success, we need your help again this year.  Volunteers are needed prior to Christmas Day as well as  on Christmas

The Server..............

Welcome to the new website for Christmas Cheer Foundation and our first newsletter. We are excited to be able to pass along all of the news and events going on during the year.

In order for the Christmas Cheer Foundation/Abundant Outreach to succeed, it takes the efforts of hundreds of donors and volunteers like you to support us as we help  those in need.

As we begin our 2015 Christmas Cheer season delivering meals, new books and beanie babies directly to the homes of those in need on Christmas morning, we are grateful for all the volunteers that partake in our endeavor to help during this holiday season.

The holiday season is rapidly approaching and to continue our success, we need your help again this year.  Volunteers are needed prior to Christmas Day as well as  Christmas Day because of the extent of the tasks.

Christmas Cheer's execution requires two types of volunteers:  Those that help the day of the event and those who also help prepare for the event.  Please select our Events tab for our work schedule

And remember.... Abundant Outreach extends far beyond the holiday season.  It was born out of a need to help others continuously throughout the year

Blessings to all..........
